Bob & Vonza moved down to Orem in 1968 where Bob continued his schooling- got his GED and graduated from BYU with a Bachelors of Science degree, specializing in Industrial Arts Education, along with a teaching certificate. He helped many of his children and grandchildren build things- including their homes. Bob developed his talent of wood working- and was a wonderful carpenter. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Cardston LDS Temple. They were married April 2nd, 1945 in Cardston. He loved to dance and at one of the dances he met his future bride, Vonza Mae Davies. ![]() Bob was a great horseman and taught his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren to love horses. When he was 16, his mother died and he quit school and worked on the ranch. He rode a horse to school- and really enjoyed it-especially riding the horse with his brother and sister to and from school every day, and teasing the other children and the teacher. They lived on a ranch just outside of Cardston. Bob was born Novemto Robert William and Agatha Eva Sturm Reeder in Cardston, Alberta, Canada. This relationship is not possible based on lifespan dates.Robert Lee Reeder, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, teacher and friend passed from his life on earth to the loving arms of his parents on June 3, 2015. Reeder Jr.Funeral services will be Thursday 1PM at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg with his grandson, Pastor Eric Reeder officiating. In addition to his parents Carroll was preceded in death by his wife Alma "Chic" (Shawver) Reeder in 2002, and brother Charles W. Reeder, both of Parkersburg and 7 great grandchildren. Surviving are three sons: Kevin Reeder (Karen) of Vincent, Tony Reeder of San Diego, CA and Michael Marks (Kay) of Belpre, two daughters: Kelly Oest (Rich) of Bath, NY and Cindy Haddox (Terry) of Belpre, 11 grandchildren including Eric Reeder and Angela M. His service to our great nation is deeply honored. Reeder retired from the Polk County Sheriff's Department in Polk County, FL where he was a Corrections Officer. He was born in Parkersburg, a son of the late Charles W. Robert Carroll Reeder, 78 of Belpre, passed away in his home Apwith his son and daughter-in-law Kevin and Karen Reeder by his side.
